studio etiquette
-
Arrive fashionably early. Aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before class & stay for a bit after class to visit with community.
-
Wear light comfy clothing that you can move easily in.
-
Please refrain from wearing strong scents & perfumes.
-
Stay hydrated! Bring a refillable water bottle or grab a cup of tea while you're here. Ayurveda suggests warm water in little sips to keep the fire in your belly warm.
-
Don't forget your yoga mat. If you don't have one, we have plenty of clean mats available to borrow & for purchase.
Please arrive on time.
To ensure the safety of everyone in the class the exterior door will be locked at the beginning of class.
-
Remove your shoes before coming into the studio.
-
Leave any potential technological distractions in your bag & double check they are on silent. This includes watches. Please keep them quiet &, if possible, leave them in your bag.
-
Turn your focus inward to what's happening within your body & mind while on your mat.
-
Try your best to stay for the entire class & feel free to take breaks as needed.
-
Be compassionate & accepting of where you are physically & emotionally in class.
-
Practice Ahimsa, or "nonviolence," in all aspects of your life, in your thoughts, your actions toward yourself & others.
